Every gambler knows that he can make bets during a certain period of time. Traditionally players are given about 60 seconds in between each spin to make bets. Players have a few seconds after the dealer spins the wheel. No more bets can be made after the dealer says “no more bets”. When the balls drops into a slot on the roulette wheel, the dealer will place a marker on the table that corresponds with the slot that the ball dropped into. He then removes all of the losing bets. Then the winners get paid and the marker is removed from the table. Chips can be touched after the spinning ball has stopped. Try to be polite and courteous. Make sure that you are respectful to the dealer and the people around you, and also offer the dealer a small tip every 10th spin or so. The last advice here is avoid drinking alchocol.

1. Stick to one and the same table. Otherwise the luck will leave you.
2. The following strategy will work for sure: when you see your favourite number hit at least 3 times, then change the number and play for like 5 spins to get the change.
3. Gambling is not a good way out if you are in a bad mood. If you go to casino with such a mood, you will only be disappointed because karma will join your mood and you will win nothing. Gambling goes well with a good mood.
4. Be sure you don’t fight with your woman or man at the table as this can only bring you bad luck.
5. Choose numbers that feel lucky to you – everyone has a lucky number, go with it!

A well-known betting system in roulette is the Martingale system. There are a great number of variations of it. The main idea of the system is that when you win, you pocket your bet. If you lose, you should double your previous bet.If you win that will guarantee you get back your previous loss and one more unit. And so on.
The Martingale System works great only in case you are not limited in your bankroll and betting.
The d'Alembert system is also rather popular. The system is based on the assumption that after a win you are less likely to win again. So after a win, you subtract a chip from your bet. The d'Alembert system also assumes that you are less likely to lose after a losing spin, so in that case, you add a chip to your bet. The fact that the roulette wheel has no memory and each spin is an independent trial with exactly the same odds of a win or loss is the previous spin is a weak point of the system.

The numbers 1 through 36 are divided evenly among red and black "pockets" on the Roulette wheel. The ball will land in one of the pockets. In addition to the 36 red and black pockets, there are either 1 or 2 green pockets, containing the number zero and double zero (00) on the roulette wheel.
A roulette dealer (usually referred to as "croupier" spins the wheel counter clockwise and releases what is usually a plastic ball along the track that runs along the top of the wheel's cavity. The wheel loses speed and as a result the ball comes down from the track, bounces a little and then lands in one of the pockets.

» The most famous roulette story has to be that of Chris Boyd, a 40 year-old computer programmer from England. In 1994 he decided to fulfill his dream in the casino of Las Vegas on the Roulette wheel. Chris had $220,000 and he wanted to bet it on one spin of the wheel. It took him much time to find in Las Vegas a casino, in which he could place such a bet. Most casinos refused him. The last casino he visited was Binion’s Horseshoe Club. The Horseshoe Club had a limit of $100,000 on a red/black bet, but they agreed to accept his wager. The casino also agreed to block out the double-zero on the wheel as this didn’t exist in the European version of the game that Chris was used to playing. Chris placed all his money on red. To make sure that everything is fair Chris was allowed to have several practice spins before playing for real money. The ball landed in number 7, red. Chris won $220,000 instantly, and asked for the money to be put into the casinos cage, and vowed never to gamble again.
